Brent Russell Voted UPC "Lineman of the Week"

STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern fans voted Brent Russell Utilities Protection Center "Lineman of the Week" for his performance in the September 12 Eagles game at South Dakota State.

A freshman defensive lineman from Comer, Ga., Russell forced a fumble in the second quarter which was recovered by teammate K.R. Snipes. For the game, Russell compiled a career-record eight tackles at South Dakota State. He received 81 percent of the votes in this week's poll and to earn his first UPC "Lineman of the Week" honor.
