Side doubled, plating Smith and moving Russo into scoring position, but Stephanie Beatty robbed a liner from Iduate to end the inning.
The Catamounts broke open the shutout in the fifth inning, scoring a run on two hits. Danielle Reese dropped in a base hit down the left field line and moved to third after Katie King's sacrifice bunt was misplayed. The Eagles got a quick second out on a play at the plate, but Kristen Gay singled over the head of a jumping Iduate scoring the runner from third.
