Track & Field Prepares for the Georgia Tech Invitational

STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern track & field team is making preparations for their final regular season meet. The Eagles will be running at the Georgia Tech Invitational May 15-16.
The meet will provide the final opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Regionals and join Melanie Trumbo (Lilburn, Ga.) and Demetrise Anthony (Manchester, Ga.) who have already qualified for regional competition.
Trumbo surpassed her original qualifying mark in the high jump with a jump of 1.76 meters at the SoCon Outdoor Championships.
Anthony qualified in the long jump for the first time at the SoCon Outdoor Championships with a jump of 6.08 meters.
The Georgia Tech Invitational starts Friday at 12 p.m. with the Hammer Throw and will finish on Saturday with 4x400 meter relay.
