2009 Legends of Georgia Southern Football Golf Classic set for May 8 at Cobblestone

STATESBORO, Ga. -- The 2009 Legends of Georgia Southern Football Golf Classic returns this year to Cobblestone Golf Course on the shores of Lake Acworth in northwest Atlanta. The date is set for Friday, May 8 with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The Classic will be played in a captain's choice format. Cost for each player is $125, which includes a cart, round of golf, breakfast and lunch, and GSU premiums.
The current Eagle Football coaching staff, a roster of players from all eras of GSU's modern football history and participants will compete for individual and team prizes on what is considered to be the best public access course in Georgia. Cobblestone Golf Course was rated as a four-star course by Golf Digest and named one of the ?Top 100 Courses You Can Play” by Golf Magazine.
The deadline to enter the Legends of Georgia Southern Football Golf Classic is Tuesday, April 24. Registration forms may be mailed to the Eagle Football Assistance Association (EFAA) in care of “The Eagle Fund” at Post Office Box 8115-01, Statesboro, GA, 30460 or faxed to 912-478-0468. For companies or individuals interested in supporting the EFAA, hole sponsorships are available with signs recognizing the sponsors placed at each tee box.
