Track & Field Finishes Third in the SoCon Indoor Track & Field Championships

CLEMSON, S.C. - Georgia Southern Track & Field finished third in the SoCon Track & Field Indoor Championships in Clemson, S.C.
Lynndsey Hyter (Dallas, Texas) followed up her excellent day-one performance with a strong day two and was named most outstanding female athlete. Hyter also garnered most outstanding female field performer honors for her performance at the SoCon Indoor Championships. She finished second in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.79 and second in the Triple Jump with a mark of 12.25 meters.
Two Eagles were named to the All-Freshman team. Sarah Herndon (Statesboro, Ga.) was named to the All-Freshman team for the weight throw and Millicent Brooks-Millender (Douglasville, Ga.) was named to the team for the Triple Jump.
Demetrise Anthony (Manchester, Ga.) finished second in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.69.
Kristin Olson (Senoia, Ga.) finished fourth in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.88.
The Georgia Southern 4x400 meter relay team finished third with a time of 3:53.00
