Eagle Field at the Softball Complex

Georgia Southern's Eagle Field has undergone numerous additions over the past few years.
Additions to the softball complex included locker rooms and bathrooms for the fans in a fieldhouse behind the playing field. The fieldhouse includes a place for players to prepare for the game with plans to add a training room and capability for viewing video.
After the initial construction, a brick retaining wall was installed around the area behind home plate to match the brickwork of other Eagle facilities. A new brick retaining wall was installed around the area behind home plate. Its addition enhances the overall appearance of the stadium.
The bullpen was also reworked using warning track material and was redesigned so pitchers now throw in the same direction as they would on the field.
Additional seating, a press box and new scoreboard were added to Eagle Field with other enhancements to improve the fan experience. For the student-athletes, the infield has also undergone changes with the addition of new dirt with and laser grading to allow for better drainage.
