The 18-team field will play 36 holes on Monday (Sept. 15) and finish with 18 holes on Tuesday morning. According to Eagles head coach Larry Mays the format will differ than normal tournaments.
“It's going to be a different format, during the first 36 holes all five of our golfers will play in the same group. This gives for many of the coaches their first look at how their players will compete in a tournament setting,” said Mays. “I'll get to see our players in the heat and our guys will get to see one another in the heat of a tournament. There are a lot of SoCon teams and others from around the region.”

“The way college golf is if we go out and play well we can get a lot of wins, or if we don't anyone can beat you,” stated Mays. “We've had a couple good days of practice, they are expecting good weather and the course is in great shape. I'm looking forward to getting out there tomorrow and seeing what we can do.”
