Together with Marsha Fountain Tootle, formed the most outstanding doubles in history of Georgia Southern women's tennis... Each was four-year letterwinner, 1980-83, earning bachelor's degrees in business administration... Together they advanced to three AIAW Division II National Championship during career, winning at No. 3 in 1982... Rallied for a 6-7 (11-13) 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 win over a team from Richmond in the final... Finished junior season All-American after leading team to state and regional titles... She finished the 1982 season fifth nationally in singles with a 19-5 record... McCurry-Ferguson reached the state finals at No. 4 singles as a junior compiling a 20-7 record... She also finished fifth at the national tournament.
