STATESBORO,
Softball led the way on the Dean's List, as 10 members qualified. Baseball and Women's Soccer were next with nine, while Football had eight, Men's Soccer six and Men's Tennis and Women's Track had five each.
Baseball and Women's Soccer took top honors on the President's List as five members from each sport posted a perfect 4.0 GPA. Nearly 45 percent of the 350 enrolled student-athletes have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
“We are always happy to see our student-athletes perform well in the classroom. To make the Dean's List really demonstrates the commitment our student-athletes have to excel not only on the playing field but in the classroom as well,” said Keith Roughton, Associate Athletics Director in charge of Student-Athlete services. “We are proud of the academic performance by our student-athletes this fall but our goal is to improve those numbers for the spring semester.”
