WILMINGTON, N.C. ? The Georgia Southern golf team finished up the first round of competition in second place, Friday afternoon at the Landfall Tradition golf tournament.
The Eagles carded a 4-over 292 after 18 holes, following team-leader Tulsa with a 2-under 286.
Pacing the Eagles is junior Drew Lethem (Camdenton, Mo.) who shot a 1-under 71 on the day and is tied for second place.
Junior Ryan LeFevre (Boca Raton, Fla.) and freshman Logan Blondell (Lakeland, Fla.) both finished the first round tied for 11th place, carding a 1-over 73.
Sophomore Spencer Fulford (Rocky Mount, N.C.) shot a 3-over 75 and finished the day tied for 18th place, while junior Ryan Zabroske (Alpharetta, Ga.) recorded a 7-over 79 on the day, finishing tied for 44th.
The Eagles will return to the links, Saturday Oct. 27 for the second round with tee time at 9:47 a.m.
