Track & Field Continues Preparation for Southern Conference Indoor Championships

The Eagles currently own 20 top-10 rankings on the Southern Conference list including seniors and 2012 event champions Ebony Carter (60m Dash) and Jasmine Billing (60m Hurdles), checking in at 3rd and 5th, respectively. Freshman of the Year for the 2012 Indoor Championships, Jasmine Walker is currently seventh in the 60m Dash and fourth in the Long Jump. With the season's top performances for Georgia Southern at the Tiger Paw Invitational last weekend, freshmen Keyanna Harris is tied for fourth in the High Jump and Kimberly Thomas is fifth in the 200m Run.
Rainy weather earlier in the week dampened some of the Eagles' training, but they kept on track with what they needed to accomplish. Clear weather for Thursday's practice allowed for a full session with Friday spent focusing on quality work with blocks, technique and hurdles sharpening.
