40 Years of Modern GS Football Team - RB/LB
As Georgia Southern begins its 40th year of Modern Football, the EFAA and the Department of Athletics have partnered up to let fans vote on the 40-Year Team. Each week, fans will have a few days to vote on their choices on multiple positions with the full team being announced on Sept. 2, the night before the season opener against Morgan State.This poll closes at 11:59 PM (ET) on Thursday, Aug. 25. Fans may only vote once.
Here is the schedule for the voting:
Aug. 1-4: Offensive Line and Defensive Line
Aug. 8-11: Specialists and Slot Backs
Aug. 15-18: Wide Receivers and Defensive Backs
Aug. 22-15: Running Backs and Linebackers
Aug. 29-Sept. 1: Quarterbacks

1 - GS Athletics Hall of Fame Ballot
2 - All-Conference (1st/2nd/3rd Team)/Conference Award Honoree
3 - All-American
4 - GS Athletics Hall of Famer
5 - National Award Winner
6- NFL Player
7 - NFL Draft Pick
8 - Retired Number
OF NOTE: to be eligible, a player had to have finished his eligibility at GS, or have graduated before transferring to another school. The EFAA approved the initial list and had the discretion to adjust the nominations. Fans will have the vote in determining the actual team.
