The Georgia Southern men's golf team looks to continue its hot start to the season at the Windon Memorial Classic, which starts Monday at the Onwentsia Club in Lake Forest, Illinois. The Eagles are coming off a team title at the Golfweek Fall Challenge three weeks ago and this will be the team's first time participating in The Windon.
Up Next: at Fighting Irish Classic; Oct. 4-5 in South Bend, Indiana, at the Warren Golf Club.
About the Course
The course at Onwentsia Club is a late 19th century layout, host to the 1906 US Open, the 1899 US Amateur and 1915 US Women's Amateur, which extends nowadays to a modest 6,645 yards from the tips.
