Kirsten Madsen joined the Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation in June of 2025 as the Athletic Foundation Coordinator. She was promoted to Director of Development in early 2026. She comes to Statesboro from Chicago, Illinois, where she coached women's basketball at Wheaton College and taught high school mathematics. While coaching and teaching, she earned her master's degree in sports administration from Concordia University Irvine.
A native of Aurora, Illinois, and a former collegiate basketball player, Madsen attended Wheaton College, where she graduated in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and Mathematics.
