Slade Richison joined the Georgia Southern Athletics Department in January of 2023 as an Assistant Director for Student-Athlete Services. He was promoted to Associate Director in 2024. Richison works with the baseball, football, and women's golf programs.
Prior to arriving in Statesboro, Richison began in 2019 as an academic coordinator at Utah State in their Student-Athlete Academic Services department. At Utah State, Richison worked with football and women's soccer. Prior to Utah State, Richison spent one year as an Assistant Athletic Academic Counselor at Memphis working with a variety of sports. Prior to Memphis, Richison was a graduate assistant in the Office of Athletic Academics at Mississippi State while obtaining a master's degree in sport administration.Â
Richison is originally from Hiram, Georgia, and graduated from Georgia with a dual degree in journalism and sport management. In addition to serving as an Assistant Director, Richison is a member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A).
In his free time, Richison enjoys watching sporting events, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
