Leo Roberts IV

Englon 'Leo' Roberts IV serves as the Head of Athletic Equipment Services for the Georgia Southern Athletics Department, a position he has held since April of 2019. 

At Georgia Southern, Roberts IV oversees the department's Adidas apparel deal and runs the equipment room at the Ted Smith Family Football Center. He is the direct supervisor for GS's athletic equipment services in entirety. Roberts IV's staff orders, distributes, launders, sizes equipment and apparel, and also handles field set up for daily practices. He also oversees the staff of full time equipment personnel and student managers, in addition to the Eagles’ other 16 varsity sports.

Roberts IV came to Statesboro after serving as the Director of Equipment Operations at Morgan State University for nearly two years. In his role at MSU, he oversaw all of the athletic departments equipment aspects, including the ordering, distributing, organizing and budgeting for the entire administration, staff, coaches and all 13 sports programs. He also helped negotiate the department’s contract with Adidas, a five-year deal for the school.

Prior to Morgan State, Roberts IV was the Director of Equipment Operations at Campbell University after working as the Assistant Director of Equipment Operations and Head Football Equipment Manager at Morgan State from the beginning of 2016 until mid 2017.

He is a certified member of the Athletic Equipment Manager’s Association (AEMA).

Roberts IV, who hails from Baltimore, Maryland, played defensive back at Bowie State and graduated from the school with a degree in sports management with a minor in communications.
