Daniel Lindsey

Daniel Lindsey joined the Georgia Southern Athletic Department in July 2019 and serves as an assistant athletic trainer who works with the Eagle football team. He also oversees the track & field program. Lindsey came to Statesboro after five years at Birmingham-Southern College.

At BSC, Lindsey's primary responsibilities were football, men's and women's lacrosse as well as men's and women's golf, with previous oversight of soccer and swimming & diving. Lindsey is a nationally certified athletic trainer and is a M1 Graston trained provider.

Lindsey is a 2011 graduate of Troy University with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training, and gained experience working with a variety of Troy's athletic teams, as well as Charles Henderson High School's football team. While a student at Troy, Lindsey served as an intern with Auburn University Football during the summer of 2009.

Upon graduation, Lindsey went on to serve as a graduate assistant and intern athletic trainer with the University of Alabama at Birmingham, while pursuing his Master's in exercise physiology. During his three years at UAB, Lindsey worked with football, track & field and women's tennis. In 2017, He served as an athletic trainer for the 20thMaccabiah Games in Israel, and in 2013 an athletic trainer for the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl in Carson, California.

He has previously served as the Secretary and a Non-Officer Member of the Alabama Athletic Trainers’ Association Executive Council, as well as previous service on the ALATA Government Affair Committee and College, University, and Military Committee. 

In his free time Lindsey enjoys being playing golf and spending time with friends and family. He and his wife, Brittany, were married March 2012.
