Chase Akin serves as the director of player personnel for the Georgia Southern football squad. He began as the assistant DPP in 2024.
Akin went to school at Oklahoma State, majoring in business. He worked mostly is operations and on-campus recruiting while he was there from 2019-2021. As a member of the program, the Cowboys won the Fiesta Bowl in 2021, going 12-2
He then went to Ole Miss for his Master's degree in sports analytics, which he finished in 2022 while working as a graduate assistant in player personnel. After graduating, he remained in Oxford in 2023 as a player personnel intern where he helped coordinate defensive and transfer recruiting, as well as manage student workers. While a member of the program, the Rebels won the Peach Bowl in 2023 and finished off the first 11-win season in Ole Miss history.
Originally from Frisco, Texas, Akin went to Wakeland High School.
