John Douglas

Former Georgia Southern football player John Douglas is in his first season as the director of player personnel for head coach Tyson Summers.

Douglas, who spent the 2015 season as a graduate assistant on the defensive side of the ball at GS, lettered twice for the Eagles in 2010 and 2011 after transfering in from Auburn University. The Augusta, Georgia, native played two seasons in Statesboro. He scooped up a Wofford fumble and returned it for a touchdown in the 2010 FCS playoffs to give Eagles a 14-0 lead en route to a 23-20 win.

He started his career at Auburn as a fullback, redshirting in 2007. He sustained an injury in the 2008 season opener and missed all but two games the remainder of the season.

A graduate of Georgia Southern, Douglas earned a degree in general studies.
