Freshman (2024-25) - Indoor: Competed in all four meets • Set three personal bests • Best finish was second in the high jump with a mark of 1.65 at the Jimmy Carnes Invite. Outdoor: Competed in five events in the high jump • Placed eighth at the SBC Outdoor Championships with a 1.68m jump, fourth-best in school history.
Prep: Four-year letter winner at Valley View HS under head coach Harold Singer • Named the 2022 California Winter State High Jump Champion • 2023-2024 California Relays HIgh Jump Champion • Owns school records in the 100m, 200m, HIgh Jump, and 4x200m.
Personal: Born Amara Joi Thomas on December 7, 2006 in Fontana, Calif. • Daughter of Traci Burnett and Ryan Thomas • Has one brother, Kyan and a sister, Jordynn.
