A 23-year media relations professional, Marc Gignac is in his 10th season at Georgia Southern, serving as the associate director of the office. He is the primary contact for men's basketball, volleyball, track and field/cross country and men's and women's golf.
His career highlights include a five-year tenure as the sports information director at Davidson College in North Carolina and a six-year stint as the director of athletic communications at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.
He has served as the assistant media director at national events, such as the 2003 Frozen Four and the 2004 and 2007 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournaments. He also worked for the NCAA at the 2005 Men’s Basketball Syracuse Regional and for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference at its 2005 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships. Gignac was the media coordinator for the Savannah Invitational in 2016 and 2017.
Gignac and his wife, Chris, reside in Pooler, Georgia, with their sons, Lucas (8) and Jack (4).
