Mimi Hill joined the Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation in January of 2023 as the Associate Athletics Director for Development. She came to Statesboro from the University of Louisville athletics department where she served as the Assistant Director for Major Gifts since June 2021. Hill also serves as the sport supervisor for men's tennis within the department.
During her time at Louisville, Hill played a key role in securing major gifts and increasing the sales of premium seating. She assisted in the the launch of The New Standard women’s capital campaign set to contribute a $10 million investment that directly impacts the women’s sports programs at Louisville. In addition, she served as a co-leader for the Women of Influence program designed to connect powerful women in the community with the student-athletes and coaches in order to provide mentoring, networking and professional development opportunities.
Prior to arriving at Louisville, she was the Assistant to the Director of Athletics at Auburn University. As the assistant, Hill served as a key member to the Director of Athletics office. She assisted with a variety of administrative support functions including scheduling appointments for the Director of Athletics, internal and external communications, events, hospitality and special projects.
An Athens, Georgia, native, Hill was a member of the Western Kentucky University women’s basketball team from 2010-2012 before transferring to the University of North Georgia where she received her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology. She was also a two-time All-American and Player of the Year for the University of North Georgia women’s basketball team. Upon finishing her eligibility, Hill played professionally overseas in Germany. She later received her master’s degree in adult education from Auburn University.
