The Georgia Southern Rifle Team's path to achieving these objectives is to encourage, support and develop our student-athletes in all areas.
The skill set required for participation on the team is a background and understanding of precision air rifle and small bore shooting, an interest and willingness to commit to the time and responsibilities of being on the rifle team, and clearance by the NCAA's Eligibility Center.
Per NCAA edict regarding Division 1 rifle programs, Georgia Southern has a total of 3.6 scholarships. Rifle is an equivalency sport for NCAA scholarship purposes, so partial scholarships can be awarded in any proportion to meet the limit per school.
Our student-athletes shoot at the Shooting Sports Education Center on our campus, one of the finest facilities in the country!
