The Georgia Southern’s Nutrition Department’s mission is to create a foundation of proper fueling for student athlete’s success athletically, academically, injury prevention, enhance overall health and support longevity in sport and life.
Goals
- Fuel strength, power and endurance for optimal performance
- Meet sport-specific energy, nutrition and hydration requirements
- Enhance adaptation and recovery between training sessions and competitions
- Provide individualized nutrition recommendations
- Educate about the safe and legal use of supplements
