GOAL: The goal of this event is to increase the overall number of donors and support of Georgia Southern and Athletics in the greater Savannah area, as well as provide an opportunity for Eagle donors and fans to network with like minded people in the area.
EXPECTATIONS: This event is in line with the expectations of GSEN members. The commitment to grow GS is always in the forefront.
The attendees of this event should be aware, before committing to shoot or attend, that the expectation is for anyone who associates with GSEN, to be a current donor of or to become a new donor of Georgia Southern at a minimum $300 annual level, as well as commit to bringing at least 2 new donor prospects per year to a GSEN event.
CLAY SHOOT FORMAT: There will be a max of ten(10), five (5) shooter teams for a total of 50 shooters. All shooters will be placed into a pool and teams will be chosen at random. The reason for this is to keep this event oriented around growth, networking and simply, fun, in lieu of the traditional sporting clay competitions where the final team score is all that matters.
PRIZES:
- "High Team Score - each shooter will win one 30 qt. Igloo cooler(donated by Blueline Rentals), one GS Pullover and one GS Polo.
- High Individual Score - One shooter will receive two sideline passes and one parking pass for a 2017 home football game.
- Low Team Score - each shooter will take home a very nice Losers' Trophy to show-off.
- Low Individual Score - One lucky loser will win a private shooting lesson
ENTRY FEE: $100/shooter fee* includes: 50 Round Sporting Clay Course, Low-Country Boil Lunch buffet, and non-alcoholic beverages. The entry fee does not include shotguns, shells, golf carts, etc. Please bring your own equipment; shotgun Shells are available for purchase from 17 South Rod and Gun Club.
*Please make entry fees payable to the 17 South Rod and Gun Club. Credit/Debit cards can also be processed on-site.
Donations to the Athletic Foundation must be paid separately.
SAFETY: Zero Alcohol until after the shooting has ceased. Cash Bar available after 4 pm. Please abide by all best practices of gun safety. Hearing and eye protection required.
