Event & Ticketing Policies/Information


By purchasing and using athletic tickets, ticket holders agree to follow the Sun Belt Code of Spectator Conduct and abide by Ticketing and Event Policies set forth by Georgia Southern University.


It is a principle of the Sun Belt Conference that student-athletes, coaches, administrators, support groups and all others associated with intercollegiate athletics adhere to such fundamental values as respect, fairness, civility, honesty and accountability.


  • ALL SALES ARE FINAL; no refunds or exchanges.
    Those who have left an athletic event are required to purchase a new ticket to re-enter the facility. 
  • Georgia Southern University reserves the right to change the date, location and time of any game or event. 
  • Georgia Southern University adheres to a Clear Bag Policy for all ticketed events. Please visit GSEagles.com/ClearBag for more information.
  • All persons ages 4 and older must have a ticket or the proper credential to enter athletics events.
  • Children ages 3 and under are free.
  • Youth tickets are available for ages 4 through 12; youth tickets are only valid when youth are present at the time of entry.
    Youth football tickets also grant access to the Field of Dreams area.
  • Ticket prices include sales tax, but not processing/shipping fees.
  • Any seating change requests will be allocated by priority points.
  • Season tickets do not grant access to postseason games such as Sun Belt championship tournaments or bowl games. 
  • Tickets cannot be resold on Georgia Southern premises, except by authorized personnel.

The use of any account, description, picture, photograph, video, audio, reproduction or other information subject to protection under the copyright laws of the United States concerning the event for which tickets provide admission, other than for news coverage or for purposes protected by the First Amendment, is prohibited.


Georgia Southern University’s zero-tolerance policy for public drunkenness, rowdy behavior, fights, theft, destruction of stadium property and throwing of items onto the field will be enforced by law enforcement and stadium security personnel. Participating in such activity or failure to abide by Georgia Southern University Athletics' Event Policies will be reason for immediate arrest or ejection from the game. 

50/50 RAFFLE: Winner takes home half of the 50/50 Raffle game day proceeds, the remaining proceeds benefit student-athlete scholarships and team initiatives. Tickets are sold until the end of the 3rd quarter and the winning number is announced in the 4th quarter. Sold by volunteers in yellow vests (3 numbers for $5; 10 for $10; or 80 for $20). Cash only. ADA ACCOMMODATIONS: ADA accommodations are available upon request and all game day shuttles are handicap accessible. 

ALCOHOL: Alcohol may not be brought into any athletic facility. Alcohol is available to guests who are in a luxury suite or VIP area hosted by the Athletic Foundation. Within those areas, guests must be 21+ to drink with a valid ID. Alcoholic drinks may not leave from designated VIP areas. 

ANIMALS: Animals are not allowed in athletic facilities except for certified service animals. Emotional support animals are not permitted. 

ATM: There are no ATMs within Georgia Southern University Athletic Facilities.

CELLULAR PHONES: The use of cellular phones within athletic facilities is allowed, so long as it does not disturb other fans in the area or interfere with their ability to enjoy the game.

CHAIRS (RENTAL & PERSONAL): Eagle Seats are available to rent for the season as well as on a single-game basis. Eagle Seats that are leased by season ticket holders are permanently attached to the seat(s) for the entire season. They are available for bleacher seats and bucket seats in Eagle Club and Club Level sections but are not available for Bishop Club, Stadium Club or the grass hill. Fans are allowed to bring in chairbacks for 2018 but they must be 17" or smaller in width and can not have pockets, arms or legs. A bin will be available at the gate to measure your seat to determine if it is in size compliance. GSEagles.com/EagleSeats

CLEAR BAG POLICY:  In efforts to expedite entry and provide a safe environment for all fans, student-athletes, staff and officials, Georgia Southern University has implemented a Clear Bag Policy for all ticketed sporting events - effective August 1, 2017. Each ticketed person, including children, must follow the Clear Bag Policy and is allowed to carry one approved bag and a clutch/purse into the stadium. Tinted or printed-pattern plastic bags will not be permitted (GSEagles.com/ClearBag). Fans can wear or carry items such as binoculars, hand-held electronic devices and cameras (with lenses shorter than 6") without carrying cases. Fans may also carry in blankets and seat cushions that will be screened upon entry. Approved bags include:

  • Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags that do not exceed 12"x6"x12" (a logo no larger than 4.5"x4.5" can be displayed on one side of a permissible clear bag) OR a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag
  • Small clutch bags/purses no larger than 4.5"x6.5" 
  • Seat cushions (may not exceed 16" in width and may not have pockets or legs)
  • Equipment bag for necessary medical items (after proper inspection at the gate)
    All guests are subject to a search outside the entrance gates. Security personnel have the right to check bags, purses, blankets, coats, pockets, etc. Alcohol and other non-permissible items will be prevented from being carried into the stadium. Fans will be asked to either take prohibited items back to their car or dispose of them properly. There are no provisions to check items at the gates. GSEagles.com/ClearBag

CONCESSIONS: Eagle Dining Concessions is the exclusive concessionaire for the University’s athletic facilities and provides a wide range of food and beverage items. Cash and credit cards are accepted.

COMPLIANCE: It is important to understand the National Collegiate Athletic Association, Sun Belt Conference and University rules by which athletics is governed. As a member of the NCAA and Sun Belt, athletics is not only responsible for the actions of our coaches, staff and student-athletes but also ticket holders, donors and fans. Regardless of the intentions, any violation of these rules can result in serious consequences for our program and those associated with it. GSEagles.com/Compliance 

EAGLE FUN ZONE: The Eagle Fun Zone is now located outside the stadium by the MC lot and is free for all kids ages 12 and under to enjoy. It opens 4 hours prior to kickoff and closes right after kickoff. Inflatables and other interactive games are available as well as water stations to keep kids hydrated.

EAGLE WALK: A game day tradition. 2 hours prior to kick-off, Eagle Fans form a tunnel in Erk Russell Athletic Park down the center of the donor parking area to welcome football players off of the yellow school buses and into Allen E. Paulson Stadium. GeorgiaSouthern.edu/Traditions

EJECTION: University and stadium personnel reserve the right to eject any person whose behavior is unruly or illegal in nature. Game tickets will be collected without refund and the guest(s) will be escorted from the athletic facility.

EMERGENCIES: In the event of an emergency, call 911. Stadium event staff, law enforcement and fire personnel are available to assist all patrons, including those with disabilities. 

FIRST AID: First aid is available at all home football games and is located on the South Concourse near Gate 8 and on the North Concourse near Gate 1 in Allen E. Paulson Stadium.

GUS' BIRTHDAY BASH: Do you want your birthday party in an exclusive tailgating spot at a Georgia Southern football game? Do you want to participate in the Eagle Walk, participate in the team intro on the field, be recognized on the video board, and get a visit from GUS? Well, now you can! Register for GUS' Birthday Bash. The true blue birthday party experience you don't want to miss. Packages are available for kids 12 and under and for adults/teens ages 13 and older. JUNIOR EAGLE CLUB: Children ages 4 through 12 are eligible to join the Junior Eagle Club to become involved in Georgia Southern Athletics. Benefited memberships are only $25 per child and are valid through the athletic calendar year.  GSEagles.com/JEC

LOST & FOUND: During the event, all lost and found inquiries should be directed to Paulson Command (North Concourse). Following the event, all inquiries should go through the University Police Department at (912) 478-5234.

LOST CHILDREN: All lost children should be escorted to the nearest law enforcement or event staff member. Lost children will then be escorted to the on-site law enforcement in Paulson Command on the North Concourse. Call (912) 478-9911 on game day for assistance.

MERCHANDISE: Adidas is the official brand for Georgia Southern Athletics. Official game day merchandise can be purchased at the University Store locations on game day for the following respective sports Football (North and South Concourses at Allen E. Paulson Stadium), Basketball (lower level of Hanner Fieldhouse) and Baseball (top of the concourse at J.I. Clements Stadium).

OUTSIDE FOOD & BEVERAGES: It is prohibited to bring outside food and beverage into any athletic facility. A search will be conducted at the gates to assist in maintaining the absence of these and other prohibited items from entering the stadium. 

PARKING & TRANSPORTATION: Eagle fans park at their own risk. Georgia Southern University is not responsible for personal injury, fire, theft, damage or loss of the vehicle or any contents. Vehicles must fit within the boundaries of the parking spot. For the safety of children and other Eagle Fans, the speed limit of 5 MPH within parking lots is required. PHOTOGRAPHY: Hand-held still camera photography is permitted at games for noncommercial personal photography. However, tripods, flash photography and single-purpose video cameras or still-photography cameras with a lens longer than 6 inches are not permitted.  

POST-GAME (Football): Fans will not be allowed on the field until after the alma mater is played and both teams and staffs have cleared the field. New to 2018, head coach Chad Lunsford's press conference will be shown live on the video board for those who want to let traffic clear and wait in the stadium. All suites, clubs and concourses will close 45 minutes after the end of the game and all fans will have to exit Allen E. Paulson Stadium one (1) hour after the game concludes.

PREGAME SIDELINE (Football): As an Eagle Fund membership benefit, Bronze Eagles and above are able to check out pregame activities at home football games - from the sideline. Each donor account receives two passes per games allotted; games allotted depend on membership giving level. Passes must be requested online by the game's deadline. GSEagles.com/PregameSideline

PREGAME SOCIALS: The Georgia Southern University Athletic Foundation (GSUAF) hosts pregame socials at home basketball and baseball games. Eagle fans who purchase season tickets to the respective sport and who are also Eagle Fund members that annually contribute at the Bronze Eagle level ($1,200+) or higher are invited to these socials for complimentary hors d’oeuvres, beverages and merriment. These events are the Foundation’s way of saying ‘thank you’ for supporting the Foundation’s mission of Rings, Diplomas & Leaders.  A game ticket is required for each guest. PROHIBITED ITEMS & ACTIONS: Alcohol; bottles; cans; hard/soft-sided coolers; chairs; strollers; illegal drugs; confetti; weapons, any item that may be used as a projectile or one that is deemed dangerous by authorities; fireworks; animals; thermoses; artificial noisemakers such as horns or whistles; signs; flags; sticks; umbrellas; laser pointers; full-sized footballs; any container including soft-sided purses, binocular cases, computer bags, cinch/drawstring bags, camera bags, fanny/back packs and diaper bags; any item deemed to be a safety or security hazard. Spectators must refrain from profanity or vulgar/improper gestures, rough playing, throwing of objects of any type onto area of play and standing on or over guardrails. GSEagles.com/GameDay.

RADIOS: Hand-held radios with the use of headphones are permitted so long as it does not disturb other fans in the area or interfere with their ability to enjoy the game.

RE-ENTRY: Re-entry to athletic events is not permitted. Those who have left are required to purchase a new ticket to re-enter.

SIDELINE: Ticket holders are not allowed on the sideline of a playing area without proper credentials. 

SOLICITING: Soliciting and advertising at athletic events is prohibited without the consent of Georgia Southern Sports Properties. This includes any commercially branded item within Erk Russell Athletic Park such as tents, banners and events. GSEagles.com/GSSP

SMOKING: Georgia Southern University is a tobacco-free campus, in compliance with the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia’s policy 9.1.7. 

TAILGATING: Please be respectful of others tailgating. For the safety of children and other Eagle Fans, the speed limit of 5 MPH within the parking lots is required. Please remember to lock vehicles and secure belongings as Georgia Southern University is not responsible for damaged or stolen valuables. 

    • Generators: Generators are allowed so long as they do not disturb neighboring guests. 
    • Golf Carts: Per Georgia Law, only persons ages 16+ with a valid driver’s license may drive any motorized vehicle, including golf carts. 
    • Kegs: Kegs are not permitted on campus.
    • Post-Game: Please keep Bulloch County beautiful. Remove all items and garbage before leaving parking spot. 
    • Parking: RV's, trailers and vehicles not removed by Sunday at 5 p.m. following a Saturday game are subject to be towed.
    • Recycling: Starting 3 hours before each game, the Center for Sustainability distributes recycling bags to each tailgate site to collect recyclables. GeorgiaSouthern.edu/Sustainability
    • Restrooms: Erk Russell Athletic Park offers port-a-potties in the parking lot and near gate 14, and facilities at the soccer complex. The Recreation Activity Center (RAC) offers bathrooms inside of the building. Campus buildings are closed on weekends and after 5 p.m. on weekdays.
    • Tailgate Zone: The Tailgate Zone is located on the southwest corner of Allen E. Paulson Stadium with two private tailgating zones that are available to rent per game - perfect for large parties, groups and corporate events. GSEagles.com/TailgateZone

TEXT US: Georgia Southern Athletics is excited to announce another way for Eagle Fans to communicate with Eagle Athletics. Eagle fans are now not only able to call 1 (800) GSU-WINS  but now are able to text us at (800) GSU-WINS (800-478-9467) for any ticketing and/or donation questions. 

TICKETS: Tickets are required for baseball, softball, men’s and women’s basketball, football, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball. Ticket delivery methods include print-at-home (free), mobile delivery (free), will call ($5 fee) and by mail via USPS ($5) or UPS ($15). Tickets can also be reprinted, donated and transferred online. Ticket prices increase on game day. Tickets can be purchased online at GSEagles.com/Tickets or by calling 1 (800) GSU-WINS.

Donate, reprint or transfer tickets! Last minute change in plans? Can’t attend a game? Use your online account to transfer Georgia Southern Athletics tickets to another Eagle Fan or donate them to Wings. Tickets donated to Wings are distributed to non-profit, youth and military organizations at no cost.

    Electronically transfer your Georgia Southern Athletics tickets to another Eagle fan on your online account. All you need to transfer tickets is the recipient’s first and last name, email and daytime phone number. And don’t worry! If you find that you can attend the game after all, you can cancel the transfer as long as your recipient has not accepted the transfer invitation. GSEagles.com/Transfer

WEATHER IMPLICATIONS: Weather delays are announced via intercom, radio, social media and GSEagles.com. If a new game time is required, a reasonable amount of time will be allotted for Eagle Fans to arrive and teams to warm up.

    Per the Sun Belt Conference, should lightning strike, stadium gates will close. Fans must leave the premises and seek shelter. Fans can only re-enter once 30 minutes have passed without a lightning strike within an 8 mile radius of the facility. Every strike within 8 miles resets the clock to 30 minutes.
