Iron Works

Built in 1989, Iron Works is the strength & conditioning facility used by all Olympic Sports at Georgia Southern University. This 6,400 square foot facility includes a weight room and offices for athletic department staff as well as a nutrition area utilized to serve Georgia Southern student-athletes. Iron Works houses 18 Racks, Olympic Weightlifting Platforms, Free Weights, Glute Ham Developers, Reverse Hyper Machines, Pit Shark Machines, Leg Press Machines, and a variety of Cardio equipment.

The equipment and space available, in conjunction with the highly regarded staff, provide student-athletes with opportunities to pursue excellence as they develop physically per their sport demands. Iron Works and the staff continue to home in on ground-breaking equipment and technology for the training and monitoring of Georgia Southern University student-athletes as they compete for conference championships.

The addition of TENDO Speed Power Analyzer Units has been game-changing for the Olympic Sports that train in Iron Works. Utilizing TENDO Units has allowed the staff to take loading, monitoring and individualization of training to a new level which ultimately will contribute to athletic success in the future.
