
Six Former Eagle Players Report to NFL Camps

Teams looking to make it to Inglewood for Super Bowl LXI
STATESBORO - All 32 NFL squads have opened preseason camp, meaning that everyone is now officially beginning preparations for the upcoming 2026 season. They are training for the long road that culminates in Inglewood, California, on Feb. 14, 2027 for Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium.
Georgia Southern will once again have a strong presence in the League as six former Eagle players are in camp. Here's a list of all six, where their training camp is going on, as well as their preseason schedule.
Darrell Baker Jr., CB
Miami Dolphins: Baptist Health Training Complex, Miami Gardens, Fla.
Game 1: at Washington, Friday, Aug. 14
Game 2: vs. New York Giants, Saturday, Aug. 22
Game 3: vs. Atlanta, Friday, Aug. 28
Briefly: After two strong seasons in Tennessee, Baker signed with Miami in the offseason.

Green Bay Packers: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wis.

Clubs are allowed to carry a 90-man roster to begin camp. Rosters must be cut down to 53 players prior to 6 p.m., New York time, on Aug. 30. Simultaneously with the cut-down to 53, clubs that have players in the categories of Active/Physically Unable to Perform or Active/Non-Football Injury or Illness must select one of the following options: place player on Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform or Reserve/Non-Football Injury or Illness, whichever is applicable; request waivers; terminate contract; trade contract; or continue to count the player on the Active List. Teams may continue to make moves after the initial roster of 53 is determined.
