Linscomb’s Record-Breaking Heptathlon Highlights Day Two

MOBILE, ALA. – Day Two of the 2026 SBC Outdoor Championships saw another record-breaking performance from freshman Madison Linscomb and a pair of tickets punched to the 100m final.

Competing in the heptathlon, Linscomb totaled 5,095 points to set a new program record and earn the silver medal at the conference championships. Her mark surpassed the previous school record of 4,987 points set by Kellie Mitchell in 2004 – a standard that had stood for 12 years.

On the track, Myzhane Solomon clocked a 14.80 in the 100m hurdles, while freshman Nia Levy posted a 2:13.11 in the 800m to finish 12th overall.

In the 400m, Jayla Lawrence tied her personal-best of 58.91, while Alanna Smith crossed in 55.76 to place 15th.

Georgia Southern also found success in the 100m prelims, as both NaJ Watson and Shatalya Dorsett advanced to the finals. Watson ran an 11.39 to finish second overall in the prelims, while Dorsett posted a field-leading 11.34 to claim the top qualifying spot. Emani George added a 12.24 performance for the Eagles.
