Carter picks up victory in singles
JACKSONVILLE - Trace Carter picked up a win and four Eagles halved their matches in singles matches but it wasn't enough as Georgia Southern men's golf fell to Jacksonville Monday in the Pablo Creek Cup 5-3 Monday at Pablo Creek Golf Club.
In singles, Carter defeated Sean Lee 3&2, as the freshman used six birdies to pull away on the back nine. Parker Claxton, Thomas Horne, Morgan Blythe and Harrison Sewell all halved their matches, picking up half a point for the team.
