Carter, Blythe pick up victories in singles
JACKSONVILLE - Trace Carter and Morgan Blythe picked up wins in singles matches but it wasn't enough as Georgia Southern men's golf fell to Jacksonville Monday in the Pablo Creek Cup 4.5-3.5 Monday at Pablo Creek Golf Club.
In singles, Carter defeated Sean Lee 3&2, as the freshman used six birdies to pull away on the back nine. Blythe won 2&1 over Will Harris to pick up the other win for the Eagles. Parker Claxton, Thomas Horne and Harrison Sewell all tied their matches, picking up half a point for the team.
