Sophomore earns pair of conference honors
STATESBORO - Georgia Southern sophomore student-athlete Bremen Butler has been honored as the SoCon Smallbore and Air Rifle Athlete of the Month for her performances in January, as announced Wednesday by the conference. These mark the first conference monthly honors for the Fort Wayne, Indiana, native.
Butler averaged a team-best 589.333 in three matches in January and set the school record with a 594 at Murray State in smallbore. She also averaged a team-best 597.333 in three matches in air rifle and her aggregate of 1,191 at Murray State was a personal best and the tied the school record.
The Eagles return to action this weekend, hosting UAB and Wofford in a SoCon match Saturday at 8 a.m.
