TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Georgia Southern men's tennis opened up the 2025 Spring campaign with a pair of matches played at the FSU Indoor Courts in Tallahassee on Saturday. The Eagles defeated Alabama State, 4-1, and Florida Gulf Coast, 4-1, to start the season with two wins.

Tomorrow, the Eagles will wrap up their opening weekend by taking on No. 9 Florida State at 2 p.m. FSU defeated both Alabama State and FGCU on Saturday to begin the season 2-0 as well.

In the first match of the day, the Eagles dropped the doubles point to Alabama State, but rallied in singles to clinch with four straight-set singles wins. Freshman Milan Ristov's collegiate dual match debut was a successful one with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Eloi Roux at No. 6 singles. Junior Pierre Mouesca collected a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles, then No. 84-ranked Dimitris Paliouras followed with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles. Aaron James Williams clinched the match with a 6-2, 7-6 (8) win at No. 2 singles.

The Eagles then met FGCU in the nightcap. Georgia Southern picked up wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to win the doubles point, then Paliouras, Williams and Pol del Castillo each collected straight-set singles wins to clinch the victory.
