STATESBORO - This summer, GSEagles.com is getting to know each of the 10 members of the 2023-24 Georgia Southern men's gof team. Up next is senior Luke Dasher, who wants to go skydiving and loves to watch Inception. Let's get to know Luke.

Why did you choose Georgia Southern?
The guys on the team and the community mainly.

What is your goal for this summer?
To show growth in all aspects of golf and life.

What is your favorite aspect of the Bennett-Ramsey Golf Facility?
I love how it's a place to get away from the campus life and be out in the middle of nowhere.

Who are your three favorite professional (current or former) golfers and why?
Tiger Woods because he's the GOAT, Russel Henley because he's from my hometown. Other than those two I don't really root for anyone else on the PGA Tour

What's your favorite club in your bag?
Putter

How long have you been playing golf and how did you get into the game?
I've been playing since I was probably 2 or 3, but got serious around 5th or 6th grade. There's a picture of me walking with my dad when I was super young to the range so that's where it all started.

If you hadn't come to college to play golf, what sport would you have tried to collegiately?
I played baseball for 8 years so probably that.

What is the best score you've ever shot? When and where?
I shot 61 at Mr. Bill Howard's farm course and 63 at Idle Hour.

Have you had any holes in one?
I've had one and it was at Ohoopee with a 7 iron from 170.

What course that you've played is your favorite course?
Augusta National

What course is your dream course to play?
Merion Golf Club

What's your favorite of the four majors?
The Masters but the US Open isn't too far behind

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
Teleportation

If you had to watch one movie on repeat, what would it be?
Inception because I always learn something new when I watch it.

How many states have you been to? Of those you haven't been to, which one do you want to visit the most?
I've been to 22 states and one I really want to go to is Montana

What's something on your "bucket list"?
Skydiving

Are you more of a dog or cat person?
Dog, easily

What movie scared you to death as a kid?
Terminator

Who would you want to play you in a movie about your life?
Colin Bowles

The 2023-24 Georgia Southern golf schedule was announced earlier this month and can be found here. The Eagles return eight players from last year's squad and welcome two newcomers to the team.
