NORMAN, Okla. – Georgia Southern's 
Ben Carr has been named the men's golf SwingU NCAA Division I College Player of the Month, it was announced today.
Carr was named the Sun Belt Conference Golfer of the Week twice in March after winning the Schenkel Invitational March 19 and tying for second at the Colleton River Collegiate March 7 and at The Valspar Collegiate March 28. He led Georgia Southern to team tournament titles at the Colleton and Schenkel.
Carr posted a 68.56 scoring average during the month and shot par or better in eight of nine rounds. The fifth-year senior shot 10-under-par at The Colleton and The Valspar, which featured six teams ranked nationally in the top-10 and 27 individuals ranked in the top-100 by Golfstat. He finished 8-under in winning the Schenkel. In addition to his four wins, Carr now has 14 top-five finishes and 27 top-10 finishes in his collegiate career. 
Currently ranked 28th by Golfstat, Georgia Southern returns to action at the Sun Belt Championship April 23-27, at Annandale Golf Club in Jackson, Mississippi.
