NCAA SCORECARD
AKRON, Ohio - Georgia Southern senior student-athlete
Addy Burrow wrapped up her season Saturday at the NCAA Rifle Championships, where she competed as an individual in air rifle. The Williamson, Georgia, native shot a 591 in qualification with 46 center shots and a 100 series.
"We're really happy that Addy had this opportunity to experience the NCAA Championships," head coach
Soren Butler said. "I'm sure she wanted a higher score, but she had a really good performance which is something we've tried prioritizing all year. I truly believe this is just the beginning for her and our team. We're ready to get back to Statesboro and begin preparation for next year."
Burrow, who has committed to returning for a fifth year and use her COVID season, finished this season with a 594.000 average in air rifle and a school-record 585.143 in smallbore for a record 1,179.357 aggregate average. She was named the SoCon Smallbore and Air Rifle Athlete of the Year.
A sure-fire All-American when the teams are announced next year, Burrow became just the second Georgia Southern shooter in program history to earn a bid to the NCAA Championship, joining Rosemary Kramer in the club. She will also be the second All-American in program history.
