NCAA SCORECARD

STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern rifle squad completed its second straight undefeated SoCon season Saturday when it posted a school-record 4,666 to down UAB at the Shooting Sports Education Center.

In smallbore, the Eagles took the first five places and shot a 2,309. Addy Burrow took first place with a 586 while Ashley Judson and Amy Visconti tied for second with a 578. Anna Mayo placed fourth with a 570, tying her career high, and Lillian Herring finished fifth with a 567. Bella Gamez shot a 557 and Gabby Morrow shot a 547.

In air rifle, Burrow led the way with a 595 to lead the way. She was followed in second place by Judson (591) and then Visconti (586; 3rd), Herring (585; T-4th), Gamez (582; T-6th), Mayo (576; T-9th) and Morrow (566; 13th).

The Eagles took the top four spots in the combined with Burrow (1,181), Judson (1,169), Visconti (1,164) and Herring (1,152) helping secure the school record. Mayo finished sixth with a 1,146 and Gamez placed eighth with a 1,139.

After the match, four seniors—Herring, mJudson, Mayo and Morrow—were honored for their careers in Statesboro.

"I'm really proud of the way the team worked today. Obviously, breaking another record is exciting but as coaches, Abby and I were really happy with our effort levels, mindfulness, coping skills, and intensity today. On top of that, it was really special having family and loved ones here for Senior Day. You really can't beat the support we have here at Georgia Southern and I can't wait to see what they do next. Big congratulations to our senior group, we are grateful for the work they put in this year!"
