More Records Fall as Eagles Roll Past The Citadel

Team posts new marks in smallbore, air rifle and aggregate

The Georgia Southern rifle team posted school records in smallbore, air rifle and aggregate as it rolled past The Citadel Saturday at the Shooting Sports Education Center.

In smallbore, the Eagles broke the school record they set two previous two matches, this time shooting a 2,335. Addy Burrow led the way with a 588 to take the gold. Emma Pohlmann set a new career high with a 585 to take second, followed by Bremen Butler's career-high 584 in third. Ella Goldfaden (career-high 580) took fourth and was followed by Zahra Gonzalez Mazo (578; 6th), Amy Visconti (577; 8th), Brooklynne Weatherford (career-high 572; 8th) and Bella Gamez (571; 9th).

In air rifle, the team posted a school-record 2,378. Goldfaden led the way with a 596, followed by Butler's career-high 595 for second place. Burrow took third with a 594, followed by Pohlmann and Gonzalez Mazo (593; T-4th), Visconti (589; 6th), Weatherford (career-high 586; 8th) and Gamez (579; T-9th)

The Eagles were led in aggregate by Burrow who shot a 1,182. Butler took second with a career-high 1,179 and Pohlmann took the bronze with a 1,178. The aggregate score of 4,713 was also a new record.
