NCAA SCORECARD
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Led by a career-high air rifle performance from
Anna Mayo, the 16th-ranked Georgia Southern rifle squad posted a 4,623 Sunday at the Taylor Center Rifle Range, to roll past SoCon member Wofford.
In smallbore,
Addy Burrow posted the fourth-best score in program with a 586 to lead the way. The Eagles took the top five spots as
Ashley Judson placed second with a 571, followed by
Lillian Herring (565),
Bella Gamez (558) and
Amy Visconti (557), respectively.
In air rifle, Burrow again broke 590 as she shot a 591 to take first.
Anna Mayo shot a career-best 585 to place second, followed by Judson (584; 3rd), Herrin (583; 4th) and Visconti (574; 5th).
The Eagles took the first four places in the combined, led by Burrow's 1,1777. Judson took second with a 1,155, followed by Herring in third with a 1,148 and Visconti fourth with a 1,131.

"We had some good individual performance today with Anna's air and Addy's smallbore, but overall today was a pretty big struggle. I think we took a step back in our mental performance, but those days happen. Progress isn't linear. I'm looking forward to correcting some things in practice this week before UAB next weekend."
