FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Georgia Southern rifle squad shot a 4,658 aggregate as it started the spring season in strong fashion on Saturday at the Tanana Valley Sportsmen's Association as part of the Northern Lights Showcase hosted by second-ranked Alaska-Fairbanks that also featured No. 3 Kentucky and No. 5 West Virginia.

In smallbore, Addy Burrow led the way with a 581. Amy Visconti shot a 579, Bella Gamez posted a 571, and Ashley Judson shot a 570, followed by Lillian Herring (568), Gabby Morrow (557) and Anna Mayo (554). The team shot a 2,301, just outside the top-five in program history.

In air rifle, the Eagles posted a 2,357, the second-best team total in program history and highest this year. Burrow shot a 595 to place tied for 11th in the field. Judson posted a 588 and both Visconti and Herring (career high) shot a 587, followed by Mayo (581), Morrow (576; career-high) and Gamez (571).

The Eagles' 4,658 aggregate was the third-highest on program history. Burrow shot a 1,176 aggregate to lead the Eagles. Herring posted a career-high 1,155 and Morrow shot a career-best 1,133.
