The Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation has announced its Second Annual Erk Russell Fund Donors' Weekend! All Erk Russell Fund donors are invited to this interactive weekend, which was created to thank Erk Russell Fund donors for their support, and will be held August 12-13, 2022 in Statesboro. With the support of generous donors and fans, Georgia Southern Athletics continues to create and support programs that provide a positive experience for Eagle student-athletes and prepare them for leadership roles in their future endeavors.
The weekend will consist of a Home Run Derby at J.I. Clements Stadium, a Golf Tournament at the Georgia Southern Golf Course, and Fan Fest/Scrimmage at Allen E. Paulson Stadium.

The Home Run Derby will kick off the weekend Friday evening (08/12) at 6:30 p.m., with multiple Eagle baseball alumni greats coming back to participate - including Victor Roache (2012) and Aaron Mizell (2015). Entry tickets are $15 and includes dinner, two drink tickets, and automatic entry into the raffle to participate in the homerun derby. All proceeds from the ticket sales will go toward helping to upgrade the Eagle Baseball facilities.
Saturday (08/13) will start with a golf tournament at the Georgia Southern University Course. The tournament will consist of an 18 hole scramble and an afternoon lunch, remarks, and awards. Weather permitting. Georgia Southern student-athletes, coaches and staff will be at select holes interacting with fun activities throughout the course.
Tentative Schedule:
9-10 am: Check-in and driving range open (All players must be pre-registered online before the event)
10 am: Shotgun start
2 pm: Luncheon, Remarks and Awards
Entry and Sponsorship Information:
Foursome - $200 ($50/person)
On-Course Table Sponsor - $1,000 (limited number available) (Includes foursome in tournament)
Hole Sponsor - $750 (includes foursome in tournament)
Saturday (08/13) is the annual Georgia Southern Fan Fest. Erk Russell Fund members are invited to a pre-game social in the Ted Smith Family Football Center when gates open at 6 p.m. There will be beverages, snacks, and a pre-scrimmage chalk talk by Head Coach Clay Helton. This will all be followed by an exclusive tour of the FOC by Eagle legends Tracy Ham and Adrian Peterson where you will get a first look at the updates made since last season.
