Men’s Golf Signs Luke Koenig

The incoming freshman joins the 2022-23 roster.

STATESBORO – Georgia Southern men's golf coach Carter Collins announced today that Luke Koenig (Statham, Ga./North Oconee) has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Eagles, beginning in the 2022-23 season.

"The team and I are very excited about the addition of Luke Koenig," said Collins. "He is very dedicated, competitive and wants to help push this team forward to new heights.. Luke has tons of experience competing and winning at the highest level, and I believe he will make positive contributions to our team in the classroom and the community as well as on the golf course. We cannot wait to get started, Hail Southern!"

Personal:
The son of Kristi and Jack Koenig, and Kristi is a 1990 Georgia Southern graduate
3.70 GPA and intends to major in sport management.

The 2021-22 Eagles won three tournaments, including stroke play at the Sun Belt Championship, and finished fifth at the New Haven Regional to earn a trip to the NCAA Championship Finals. GS returns all 10 lettermen and adds Hayden Carner, Parker Claxton and Koenig to the roster for 2022-23.
