STATESBORO - The Sun Belt Conference and network affiliates released today the game times for numerous football contests this fall, including four Georgia Southern games.
The Eagles will open the season on Sept. 3 at home against Morgan State in a game that will kick off at 6 p.m. and will be shown on ESPN3. A week later, Georgia Southern will travel to Lincoln to face the Nebraska Cornhuskers. That game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Eastern/6:30 p.m. local and will be broadcast on FS1.
In Week 3, the Eagles will head to Birmingham, Alabama, to take on UAB in a non-conference matchup. That game will kick at 3:30 p.m. Eastern/2:30 p.m. local and will be shown on Stadium.
The final announced game is the Eagles' lone mid-week contest of the season, which will take place on Thursday, Nov. 10 in Lafayette, Louisiana, against the defending Sun Belt champs Louisiana. That game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time/6:30 p.m. local time and will be broadcast on ESPNU.
The game times for the remaining five home games (Ball State, Sept. 24; James Madison, Oct. 15; South Alabama, Nov. 5; Marshall, Nov. 19; and App State, Nov. 26), along with the remaining road games will be announced at a later date.
