STATESBORO – Georgia Southern men's basketball coach
Brian Burg announced today that Nate Brafford (Waynesville, N.C./Rabun Gap-Nachooche School) has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Georgia Southern and compete for the Eagles, beginning in the 2022-23 season.
Nate Brafford, 6-9, 180, F – Waynesville, N.C./Rabun Gap-Nacooche School
Averaged 24 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocks as a senior at Rabun Gap-Nacooche School in Georgia and was named North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association 4A first-team all-state • Named 2021 Carolinas Athletic Conference Player of the Year and all-state • Led the state by averaging 33.9 points a game at Tuscola High School in North Carolina in 2019-20 and was named District 12 Player of the Year, all-state and conference Player of the Year • Set the Tuscola school record with 51 points in an overtime win vs. Enka • Scored 2,600 points in his high school career.

Brafford joins Tai Strickland and Tyren Moore as the Eagle newcomers for 2022-23.
