ATLANTA – Kane Williams scored 21 points, including 15 in the second half, to lead Georgia State to its fourth consecutive win, a 79-63 Sun Belt men's basketball victory over Georgia Southern Thursday night in GSU Sports Arena.

Kamari Brown scored a career-high 17 points to lead the Eagles and added four rebounds. Andrei Savrasov tallied 14 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals, and Gedi Juozapaitis finished with 11 points, two boards and two steals.

After a back-and-forth first period that saw State with a three-point edge at halftime, Williams scored seven points in a 10-0 run for the Panthers (12-10, 6-5) and opened a 47-33 lead with a pair of free throws 3:57 into the second period. The Eagles (11-13, 4-9) missed three shots and committed two turnovers during the stretch.
Juozapaitis knocked down consecutive 3-pointers to stem the tide for the Eagles, but Corey Allen netted eight points in 12-2 Panthers' run that increased the margin to 20 points with 12:07 remaining.
