CONWAY, S.C. – Three Eagles scored 16 points, and Georgia Southern held Coastal Carolina to 40 percent shooting in the second half to earn a 73-64 Sun Belt men's basketball win over the Chanticleers Saturday afternoon in the HTC Center.

Jalen Finch made 7 of 10 from the field and finished with 16 points and four assists with no turnovers. Kaden Archie made a career-high four triples on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds, and Andrei Savrasov collected 16 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Tyren Moore posted 10 points and a career-high eight rebounds.

Georgia Southern used a 17-4 run, capped by consecutive 3-pointers by Archie and Finch, to open a 63-53 advantage with 5:14 remaining. Kamari Brown scored four points during the stretch, and the Eagles held the Chanticleers (7-6, 1-1) to 2 for 10 from the field and forced three turnovers.
