Quotables from coach Brian Burg
On improvement in the second half
"We played with more grit in the second half, and also we had huge focus on being able to locate Podziemski and not allow him to get open looks. I thought we played better team defense in the second half and just had more grit coming out of the locker room."
On getting off to better starts
"From an offensive standpoint, we got more settled in. We took way too many threes throughout the course of the game. We had some possessions that we can build on where the ball was moved and we were able to get quality looks, but we still have to be able to fight for quality looks on every possession. From a defensive standpoint, we need to locate shooters. We need to make sure that we don't allow those open looks."
