
Men's Tennis Announces Addition of Aaron Williams

Williams will join the Eagles as a mid-year enrollee in January
STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern men's tennis team has announced the addition of Aaron James Williams from Germany as a mid-year enrollee, head coach Jeremy Bayon announced on Monday. Williams will join the Eagles in the Spring of 2023.
"I am very excited to have Aaron joining our program. He is a very talented young man with a strong work ethic. His desire to get better on and off the court is going to make him a great addition to our team. His recent accomplishments in singles and doubles lead me to believe that he will make an immediate impact into our line-up."
Williams is an accomplished player from Germany, ranking 77th in the country in men's singles. Williams also has an ITF ranking of #954 in singles and an ATP Doubles ranking of #1327. Williams was a runner-up in the ITF Men's Doubles 15K in Haren in 2022 and has numerous national tournament titles to his name. Williams is a two-time runner up in his Regional Championship and was a participant in the German Junior National Championship in 2021. In December of 2022, Williams will participate in the German Men's National Championship.
GS Men's Tennis will open up the season on the road to take on Flagler College on January 20 at 3 PM from St. Augustine, Florida. The following Saturday, the Eagles will take on The Citadel for the first home match of the season on January 28. First serve is set for 10 AM from the Wallis Tennis Center.
