Eagles Claim Third Straight Georgia Collegiate Championship Crown

Burrow takes first place in all three areas

STATESBORO -
The 17th-ranked Georgia Southern rifle squad used a strong lineup top to bottom to post a 4,642 aggregate to claim the 2022 Georgia Collegiate Championship title over No. 18 North Georgia and Georgia Military College.

The Eagles posted a 2,304 in smallbore, led by a first-place finish from Addy Burrow (585) and a second-place finish and career-best 583 from Amy Visconti. Kinsley Hannon shot a personal-best 570 to place fourth, followed by Erin Ballard in fifth (569) and Ashley Judson in sixth (567). Anna Mayo posted a career-best 563 to tie for seventh with Lillian Herring.

GS shot a 2,338 in air rifle as a team. Burrow posted a 592 in air rifle to take first place in the discipline. She was followed in the top 10 by Ballard (3rd; 583), Judson (4th; 582), Visconti (T-5th; 581), Hannon (T-5th; 581), Mayo (7th; career-high 578) and Herring (T-9th; career-high 575).

Seven Eagles placed in the top 10 of aggregate, led by Burrow's gold medal with a 1,177. Visconti placed third (1,164), Ballard took fourth (1,152) and Hannon rounded out the top five with a career-high 1,151.
