NEW ORLEANS – Nine Georgia Southern football players were honored by the league coaches and members of the media as the Sun Belt Conference announced Thursday the selections for its all-conference teams.

Senior nose tackle C.J. Wright and junior punter Anthony Beck II were both chosen for second-team All-Sun Belt Conference accolades. For Beck II, it's his second All-Sun Belt honor in his career as he made the third team last season. It's the first all-conference honor for Wright. Freshman linebacker Eldrick Robinson II, senior offensive lineman Khalil Crowder and sophomore safety Anthony Wilson were all named third team. Four Eagles - senior running back Logan Wright, senior offensive lineman Aaron Dowdell, senior defensive lineman Justin Ellis and junior receiver Khaleb Hood - earned honorable mention recognition.

The Sun Belt Conference's coaches and a member of the media representing each team voted on the list of candidates for the teams with points assigned for rankings for each position. The first, second and third teams are compromised of 12 offensive players (1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 5 OL), 12 defensive players (4 DL, 3 LB, 4 DB, 1 at large selection) and four special team players (K, P, Return Specialist and All-Purpose), unless there are ties.

SECOND TEAM
Anthony Beck II: A second-team All-Sun Belt selection … Started all 12 games as the punter and holder … Saw action on 114 special teams plays … Set a school record with a 44.3-yard average for the season … Also had a school-record 17 punts of 50 yards or longer … Had 23 punts downed inside the 20 as opposed to just two touchbacks … Also had 29 punts fair caught … Averaged 39.0 yards on three punts in the opener against Gardner-Webb … Had four punts for a 43.2-yard average at Florida Atlantic … Punted 10 times for an average of 48 yards per kicks  at Arkansas … Had four punts downed inside the 20-yard line with a long of 59 yards … Punted four times for an average of 46 yards against Louisiana … Had a long punt of 60 yards with an average of 42.8 yards, but also had one punt blocked for a safety, against Arkansas State … Averaged 45.2 yards per punt with two downed inside the 20-yard line at Troy … Averaged 48.3 yards per punt with two downed inside the 20 at South Alabama … Punted four times for a career-best 49.2-yard average with a season long of 63 yards and three downed inside the 20-yard line against Georgia State … Averaged 44.0 yards on six punts with a long of 56 yards against Coastal Carolina … Had one punt blocked and returned for a touchdown … Punted three times for an average of 36 yards with a long of 54 yards in the win at Texas State … Had one punt blocked and returned for a touchdown … Punted five times with a long of 46 yards against BYU … Averaged 47.6 yards on eight punts at App State with a long of 57 yards and four punts of 50 yards or longer.

C.J. Wright: A second-team All-Sun Belt selection by the league and Pro Football Focus … Started all 12 games at nose tackle … Played 539 total snaps (478 on defense, 61 on special teams) … Posted 36 total tackles … Led the team with eight tackles for loss and five sacks … Also had two quarterback hurries  … Got the start in the opener against Gardner-Webb, tallying four tackles, including a sack, and a quarterback hurry … Had three tackles, including 1.5 sacks, at Florida Atlantic … Played 40 total tackles at Arkansas … Posted four tackles, including half a stop for loss, and a quarterback hurry against Louisiana … Had two tackles for loss, including a sack, against Arkansas State … Had four tackles, including a sack, at Troy … Posted two tackles at South Alabama … Had a tackle against Georgia State … Posted six tackles against Coastal Carolina … Had seven tackles, including 2.5 for loss and a sack, in the win at Texas State … Posted two stops against BYU and one against App State.

THIRD TEAM
Khalil Crowder: A third-team All-Sun Belt selection … Started and played in 11 games … Played 720 total snaps (680 on offense, 40 on special teams) … Played 680 offensive snaps … Played all 86 offensive snaps in the opener against Gardner-Webb … Played 51 offensive snaps at Florida Atlantic … Played all 66 offensive snaps at Arkansas … Played all 82 offensive snaps and four on special teams against Louisiana … Played 65 total snaps against Arkansas State … Played 71 offensive snaps at Troy and 63 at South Alabama … Played 75 offensive snaps against Georgia State … Also had a tackle on an interception return … Played 53 offensive snaps against Coastal Carolina … Missed the Texas State game … Played all 53 offensive snaps against BYU … Played 25 snaps at App State before leaving the game with a leg injury.

Eldrick Robinson II: A third-team All-Sun Belt selection … Played in 11 games, starting the final nine … Played 616 total snaps (560 on defense, 56 on special teams) … Tallied 74 tackles, including 5.5 for loss and half a sack … Had two interceptions, four quarterback hurries and two pass breakups … Saw action on three special teams plays at Florida Atlantic … Had five tackles, including a tackle for loss, at Arkansas … Got his first collegiate start against Louisiana and led the team with nine tackles, including half a stop for loss, and a pass break-up … Posted three tackles, including 1.5 for loss and half a sack, along with a pass break-up and an interception against Arkansas State … Had eight tackles and a quarterback hurry at Troy … Posted six tackles, including half a stop for loss, at South Alabama … Led the team with 10 tackles and a quarterback hurry against Georgia State … Posted eight tackles, including one for loss, against Coastal Carolina … Had a big game in the win at Texas State, posting 12 tackles, 1.5 for loss and an interception to earn Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week … Once again led the team in tackles against BYU, posting 10 stops and a quarterback hurry … Had three tackles at App State.

Anthony Wilson: A third-team All-Sun Belt selection … Started all 12 games … Played 793 total snaps (team-high 762 on defense, 31 on special teams) … Led the team with 78 tackles … Included in that total were 4.5 tackles for loss and a sack … Had a team-high nine pass breakups in addition to a forced fumble and a quarterback hurry … Got the start in the opener against Gardner-Webb, leading the team with six tackles … Had three tackles and a forced fumble at Florida Atlantic … Had a tackle, a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry at Arkansas … Posted eight tackles against Louisiana … Had five tackles, including half a stop for loss, and a pass break-up against Arkansas State … Led the team with 11 tackles, including a sack, at Troy … Had five tackles and a pass break-up at South Alabama … Had seven tackles and two pass break ups against Georgia State … Led the Eagles with 10 tackles, including two for loss, against Coastal Carolina … Had eight tackles and two pass breakups in the win at Texas State … Had nine tackles and a pass breakup against BYU … Had four stops, including half a tackle for loss, at App State.
