NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference has announced the bracket for the 2021 Volleyball Tournament, and Georgia Southern will take on ULM Thursday at 1 p.m. ET in the Foley Sports Tourism Complex in Foley, Alabama.

The Eagles, who earned the third seed in the East Division, defeated the Warhawks 3-1 in Monroe in their only meeting this season, and GS owns a 6-4 edge in the all-time series, which began in 2005. The winner plays the West's second seed, UTA, Friday at 1 p.m. ET.

"We're excited to start the next phase of our season at the Sun Belt Tournament," said head coach Chad Willis. "This is something we've been talking about and working towards all season long. Now that we're headed to Foley and know our path, we need to continue to stay the course and focus on the 'next mentality' we've been emphasizing all year. It will take a total team effort, but we're confident in this group - they'll be ready to compete and get after it."

This will mark the second consecutive year that the Sun Belt Tournament will take place in Foley, and each of the tournament's 11 matches will be broadcast on ESPN+. Georgia Southern picked up its first Sun Belt Tournament win last season when the Eagles topped Troy 3-2. This year's tournament will be a single-elimination event.

South Alabama (22-6, 15-1 Sun Belt) claimed the top seed in the East Division and clinched the program's first-ever Sun Belt Conference regular-season title. Texas State (18-11, 14-2 Sun Belt) captured the top seed in the West Division. The Bobcats have won the last three Sun Belt Conference Tournament Championships.
